Joys of a Toxic Tummy

What a way to start the week!!! I know I've been needing time off but not like this. Still, it forces reflection - at least once one is semi-upright and awake. The need to look at dis-ease and paths to non-toxic living.

Oona's loving it, though. I fear that, should she next see me hugging the porcelain god, she'll rejoice - Mommy's home all day!!! I love that I make her feel safe as the feeling's completely mutual.

Santorum!!!

This one of the reasons I decided to blog. Facebook initially served as a place to vent - say, throw stuff at the wall and see what happens. To me, though, I want to keep it as a social forum, rather than roil some friendships. Maybe I'm shrinking from the fight but so be it!

All that said, I find this piece very interesting: a prominent Republican warning us of a Santorum presidential campaign. When I first saw the headline, my first thought was: Bring it on! With what's happening, though, at these town hells, a campaign with win-at-all-costs by Santorum or Palin could be devastating to the country.

I highly recommend checking out the site of the Southern Poverty Law Center: http://www.splcenter.org/ Unlike many - most? - in this country, they're taking the rise in militias and white supremacy very seriously. I refuse to live in fear but can't say I'm not a tad nervous.

On a lighter note, I highly recommend Googling "Santorum"!!!

Lunatics Taking Over the Asylum???

Excuse me, folks, this lunacy really has to be stopped. There will be no death panels. It is not in any bill. If there were, I'd be pissed, too! I don't want any politician - especially a fundie - saying my mother cannot pull her plug, irregardless of what's stated in her living will.

What am I doing???

Somehow, I'm suddenly attempting a blog. Who should care? Must admit - it's yet another way to appear busy on the job on an unusually slow day. Personally, I'd rather be reading those links from Blogging Top Chef.
